In a post-match interview, Sekhukhune United manager Cedric Kaze said the team must improve execution in the final third to change the outcome against the defending league champions. "We need to work more on our last-third entries and have more composure, have more movements and have better technical accuracies," Kaze told reporters. He added that the side should bring a positive mindset from the start and trust their plan.
Kaze highlighted the better second-half performance in the cup tie, noting that the team created more attacking moments after the interval but still failed to break through a solid Pirates defence. "We were the better team in the second half," he said.

The coach sees the league match as an opportunity to reset before the second leg of the MTN8, which will take place at Orlando Stadium next Saturday. He believes a positive result in the league could boost confidence and help overturn the cup deficit.
